Folio Private Edition

Privacy Policy

Effective 2 June 2026

Folio is built on a single, simple promise: your documents never leave your device. Every operation Folio performs — merge, split, convert, compress, OCR, secure and sign — runs entirely on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Folio collects no personal data of any kind. We do not see, store, transmit, or have any access to your files or any information about you or how you use the app.

No accounts

Folio requires no account, no sign-up, and no login. There is no profile to create and no credentials to manage.

No analytics or tracking

Folio contains no analytics, no usage tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no crash-reporting that transmits data off the device. We do not know if, when, or how you use the app.

No third-party SDKs

Folio integrates no third-party software development kits for analytics, advertising, or data collection. There are no embedded services that could gather or share your information.

No network requests

Folio makes no network connections at all. The app does not phone home, check in, sync, or contact any server. On Apple platforms, Folio ships without the network-client capability, so the operating system itself confirms the app cannot send data over the internet.

On-device processing

All documents you open in Folio are processed entirely on your device. Your files stay in your control at all times and are never uploaded, copied to a server, or shared with us or anyone else.

Children's privacy

Because Folio collects no data whatsoever, it collects no data from children. The app is safe for users of all ages in this respect.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. The core promise — that nothing leaves your device — will not change.
